Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week

Position: Burn Unit Patient Care Technician
Supporting patients from pediatrics to geriatrics

Join a compassionate, high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional care to burn patients of all ages. Under the guidance of our Nurse Manager and the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs), you'll play a key role in supporting patients through their healing journey.

What You'll Do:
As a valued member of the care team, you’ll collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver hands-on, patient-centered care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care tailored to individual needs

  • Monitoring and recording vital signs

  • Assisting with daily living activities (ADLs)

  • Supporting clinical procedures and performing dressing changes

  • Observing and reporting changes in patient condition to nurses or physicians

  • Accurately documenting care provided

Hourly Pay Range: $16.87 - $24.88
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED and certification from an accredited nursing assistant/health aide program.
  • Experience:
  • Prefer at least one (1) year of hospital experience as a CNA, PCT, or EMT, preferably in a burn/wound care environment.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Requires certification by the Arizona State Board of Nursing as a CNA or certification as an EMT by the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services, Trauma System for EMTs, or a nationally recognized equivalent certificate.
  • Requires a BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
  • PALS, ACLS, and ABLS certification is preferred within one year of employment. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
  • Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
