Department: Medical Oncology Ortho - Roosevelt

Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Compassion in Action

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, and the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you’ll provide hands-on support that makes a real difference in the lives of our patients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver age-appropriate, compassionate care to patients while supporting their comfort, dignity, and recovery.

  • Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including mobility, hygiene, and nutrition.

  • Take and record vital signs, and perform basic clinical procedures as requested.

  • Communicate patient needs clearly and promptly to the supervising Nurse or Physician.

  • Monitor and report changes in patient condition, ensuring timely interventions.

  • Accurately document all patient interactions and care provided in the medical record.

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create a positive, safe, and healing environment.

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Prefer a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
  • Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.
Specialized Training:
  • Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
  • Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
