Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Caring Hands, Meaningful Impact

At Valleywise Health, our CNAs are vital members of the care team, providing hands-on support that enhances the patient experience and promotes healing. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Director, and general supervision of a Registered Nurse, you’ll play an essential role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care every day.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct, age-appropriate care to patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity.

  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as mobility, grooming, and nutrition.

  • Accurately take and record vital signs and perform basic clinical procedures as directed.

  • Observe, report, and communicate any changes in patient condition to the supervising Nurse or Physician for timely intervention.

  • Document all care activities and interactions clearly and promptly in the patient’s medical record.

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to create a positive and healing environment for patients and families.

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.87 - $24.88
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Prefer a high school diploma or GED.
Experience:
  • Prefers at least one (1) year of relevant nursing assistant or healthcare-related experience.
Specialized Training:
  • Must successfully complete approved Valleywise Health computer classes.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Requires licensure through the AZ Board of Nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
  • Requires excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
