Department: Renal Dialysis - Peoria

Schedule: Per Diem 4 Hours Per Week

As a vital member of the healthcare team, the Dialysis Technician works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). This hands-on role involves preparing and operating dialysis equipment, initiating and disconnecting treatments, and closely monitoring patients throughout their hemodialysis sessions. The technician ensures treatments run smoothly and safely, alerting licensed caregivers whenever a patient’s condition changes or deviates from expected parameters. Certified as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) or Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), this professional plays a key role in improving the lives of patients through skilled, reliable, and patient-focused care.
 
Flat Rate: $30.00
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED certificate.
Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years as a Dialysis Technician or related experience.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must have or be eligible for certification as a Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician   (CCHT), Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) or Certified Clinical Nephrology Technology (CCNT) from a National commercially available certification program and/or obtain certification within 18 months of hire.
  • Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.  Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing including knowledge of basic grammar, spelling & punctuation.
  • Requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to work with professionals, and maintain confidentiality standards.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have the proven ability to maintain professional conduct, and confidentiality in the care of patients.
