Job Description
Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center
Department: CHC Administration - Phoenix
Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Days
Under the direction of the appointing authority, this position is responsible for providing advanced administrative support for the department and management staff. Duties may include clerical assistance with correspondence, assistance with board activities, secretarial support, and routine office-related functions, as well as the ability to take initiative to ensure productivity, organization, and completion of assignments efficiently and within established time frames.
Annual Salary Rate: $56,160 - $82,846.40
Qualifications
Education:

Requires an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Experience:
-
Requires five (5) years of progressively responsible executive-level administrative assistant experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Prefer experience in the health care industry.
Certification/Licensure:
-
You may be required to obtain a fingerprint clearance card if you work in an area that has been deemed to require one. If required to obtain, must present the actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.

AZ notary preferred.

Must have the ability to routinely and independently exercise sound judgment in making decisions regarding workload, where direction and/or precedents may not be available, as well as considerable judgment and initiative to determine the approach or action to take in non-routine situations.

Requires strong computer literacy, including knowledge and application of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Must have excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with discretion, diplomacy, and tact.

Ability to present verbal information clearly, articulately, and in a way that engages the recipient, and must be able to compose written information in a clear, well-structured, and grammatically correct manner.

Must possess the ability to convey a professional image and actively represent the executive as appropriate in his/her relationship with external customers.

Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
