Department: Engineering and Construction

Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week

Shifts: Days

Leads and manages all facilities construction/renovation projects. Oversees and manages the duties and assignments of the department's project coordinators. Coordinate work with outside contractors, internal resources and plant engineering.  Reports to the Facilities Director regarding project performance. The Project Manager works under the direct supervision of the Facilities Director. The Project Manager is responsible for providing management and technical support for project development, contract and procurement activities, various federal, state and local regulations and agency policy requirements. This position assists with directing the short and long term planning, control and monitoring of project scheduling and implementation, program and project development, budget review, and adherence. The Project Manager is accountable for maintaining all project records, project information management, monitoring of the project budget, project contracts, procurement, design development, construction progress and serving as point of contact for all site-related project activities. The position works closely, as directed by the Director Facilities, design and construction staff, contractors, city and county representatives and authorities having jurisdiction in resolving project development and implementation issues. The Project Manager is a key position in the program management approach.  This individual is central to the actions taken to advance program management operations of major construction/renovation efforts.





  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.


  • Requires one to five (1-5) years managing construction related projects and/or three (3) years of business environment experience detailing initiatives, strategy planning, process re-engineering, etc.

Specialized Training:

  • None


  • PMP certification is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Requires extensive knowledge of all phases of project management, construction, and hospital maintenance.
  • Must possess excellent organizational, managerial and decision making/problem solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Salary Range: $35.15 - $52.73
