The Valleywise Health Foundation generates philanthropic support to address critical patient and program needs. Primary funding priorities include burn survivorship care, innovative behavioral health initiatives, and the education of future healthcare professionals.

The Foundation operates as a high-performance team dedicated to achieving major fundraising results in support of Valleywise Health’s vision: to be nationally recognized for transforming care to improve community health. Valleywise Health is home to the Diane & Bruce Halle Arizona Burn Center, hosts one of the state’s largest and most established physician training programs, and serves as the largest provider of inpatient psychiatric care in Arizona.

This position is responsible for proactively identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding high-level donors to secure major gifts for the organization’s strategic priorities.  This role involves managing a portfolio of prospects, developing and executing fundraising strategies, and building strong relationships with donors, staff, and volunteers.  Responsibilities include managing relationships with current donors and identifying new prospective supporters who will make five- to seven-figure investments.
 
Annual Salary Range: $113,734.40 - $167,752.00
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience:
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of fundraising experience with a strong track record in identifying, acquiring, soliciting, and stewarding annual and major gifts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Positive attitude and a cheerful demeanor when working with a diverse group of supporters, clients, and staff.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to craft executive-level correspondence and present confidently to individuals and small groups.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Creative in developing new ideas for fundraising activities, especially related to cultivation and stewardship.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and CRM systems (preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT).
  • Proven success in frontline fundraising, with strong knowledge of fundraising principles, healthcare philanthropy, and corporate and local donor engagement.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a mission-driven, team-oriented environment.
