Department: Central Sterile - Roosevelt

Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week

Shifts: Days

Under the direction of the Central Sterile Manager, this position provides indirect patient care by preparing and processing supplies, instruments, and equipment for surgical procedures.
 
Hourly Pay Rate: $24.96 - $36.82
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a High school diploma or GED. 
  • Associate degree preferred.
Experience: 
  • Must have a minimum of three (3) years of Sterile Processing experience in all surgical specialties that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Strong leadership skills and prior experience managing assets or systems are highly desired.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must have a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) and CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) from IAHCSMM within one year of the position's start date. 
  • Ambulatory Clinics: Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
  • Requires BLS. A BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center is preferred and will be required within 3 months.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  • Must have strong leadership skills. Knowledge of managing assets or systems is highly desired. 
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with many interruptions.
  • Requires knowledge of surgical instrumentation. 
  • Must be proficient in computer skills including MS Office and other related software applications. 
  • Requires strong communication skills. 
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
