As a Security Engineer II, you will serve the community by safeguarding patients' personal data and our critical care systems. This is a role you will be expected to improve and enhance the existing Access Management Team with new capabilities. You won't be "siloed" as you will perform many cybersecurity functions, and we will push you to keep improving your cybersecurity skills in the ever-changing cyber threat landscape. With your "can-do attitude," you will deliver engineering excellence by maturing the Access Management Team provision process, performing IAM tool improvements, AD integrations, IT Security operations, providing cross-functional IT team support, supporting Access Management Team with technical issues, implementing IAM upgrades, and granting remote vendor access. 
 
This 100% virtual working position will be customer service-focused, supporting our various internal teams for employees, contractors, and students. You will have to perform a rotating "on-call" to support the 24x7 hospital mission and be prepared to respond to any cybersecurity incident. You will work with some of the best cyber talent in Phoenix in a high-accountability environment. We expect you to "move the needle" to improve our Access Management Team abilities.
 
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems (IS) or a related field OR an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work in place of a degree.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.
Experience:
  • Requires at least three (3) years of progressively responsible structured systems' analysis, design, development, or systems engineering-related experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Requires CISSP or GIAC Certification or equivalent within 18 months of accepting this position.
  • Must have a valid fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety OR submit a completed Affidavit at the time of hire. Must complete fingerprint clearance card application within seven (7) days of hire date. Must present actual card within 90 days of applying for a fingerprint clearance card.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Requires ability to conduct or oversee platform studies and reliability and performance analyses and recommend changes and design methods to achieve confidentiality, integrity, and availability security objectives.
  • Must be able to assist with the implementation and deployment efforts of security policies and procedures.
  • Must create solutions to complex operational problems, collaborate with vendors and users as required, and identify trends that warrant immediate attention.
  • Requires the ability to guide management in predicting threats, identifying vulnerabilities, and addressing related issues.
  • Must be able to perform security audits, develop and execute complex change implementation plans, and resolve complex security-related issues.
  • Must create, expand and maintain relationships with peers and stakeholders.
  • Must be attentive to communications interaction, demonstrate comprehension of detailed information, and adapt to various verbal styles and modes of persuasion.
  • Must be reliable; be able to inspire performance and address issues effectively; and take bold and decisive action despite risks, conflicts, and uncertainty.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in technical and business English.
 
Salary Range: $31.89 - $47.84
