Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week

Under the guidance of the Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health Programs, the Clinical Coordinator provides leadership, oversight, supervision, training and mentoring for the First Episode Clinic team, including the Clinical Social Worker/Counselor, Case Managers, Care Coordinator, Rehabilitation Counselor, Recovery Coach/Peer Support Specialist and the Registration Scheduling and Support staff. This team provides recovery oriented behavioral health services to youth and young adults experiencing their first episode of psychosis, with a goal of restoring cognitive functioning, engaging family members to strengthen natural supports, stabilizing psychiatric symptoms, and developing a clear path to recovery. This position functions as a practicing clinician on the team, while ensuring each member receives and maintains a current assessment and Individual Service Plan (ISP) and fidelity measures are met on an ongoing basis. This position provides psychotherapy that includes diagnosis, assessment, and treatment and that may include psycho education for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders based primarily on verbal or nonverbal communications and intervention with, and in the presence of, one or more clients. This position is also responsible for tracking output and outcome data and meeting all reporting requirements.
 
Hourly Pay Rate: $32.84 - $48.44
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a Master’s Degree in a Behavioral Health related field.
Experience:
  • Requires four (4) years of experience providing mental health services that demonstrate an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Prefer prior direct or indirect supervisory experience.
  • Prefer experience facilitating groups, providing individual counseling, and working with individuals and families who experience co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorders.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must be a licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or must have either a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) AND be able to obtain a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT within 36 months of employment in position.
  • Must obtain fingerprint card as defined in Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S.) 36-425.03 and state licensing rule R9-10-1011(A)(4) within 90 days of employment.
  • Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid AZ issued driver’s license in good standing, and must carry the AZ legally required minimum insurance coverage on personal vehicle at all times.
  • Pursuant to Arizona Administrative Code R9-10-306 CHAPTER 10 of the Dept. of Health Services, personnel must be at least 21 years of age, or at least 18 years of age and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32, and providing services within the personnel member’s scope of practice.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Requires extensive knowledge and/or previous experience with the behavioral health service delivery model.
  • Must have a strong understanding of trauma informed care, integrated care, Supported Employment, Permanent Supportive Housing, Family Psychoeducation, Integrated Treatment for Co-occurring Disorders, and Peer Support.
  • Position requires travel throughout the community as needed.
  • Must have a personal vehicle that is insured as this position requires travel throughout the community.
  • Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
  • Must be approachable, people oriented, and a good listener.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be a change agent able to develop, implement and maintain policies and processes.
  • Requires the ability to be a creative, independent thinker.
  • Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism, customer service, and enthusiasm.
  • Must possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
