The Manager Foundation Donor Advancement supports the Valleywise Health Foundation executive and senior leadership’s fundraising and engagement efforts to achieve the Foundation’s revenue goals. In addition to serving as the point-of-contact for executive and senior leadership scheduling, this position helps maximize efficiencies of time and resources by developing, implementing, and managing standardized systems for board engagement and donor stewardship. It moves management in accordance with the Foundation’s ethical standards and donor intent. Through centralized processes, the Manager Foundation Donor Advancement helps ensure that Valleywise Health Foundation’s donor and volunteer prospecting, engagement, tracking, stewardship, and retention are standardized, timely, and best-in-class. This role directly impacts the Foundation’s ability to retain and acquire donors, thereby advancing its mission to support Valleywise Health, the community’s public teaching health system.
 
While the Manager Foundation Donor Advancement serves as the point-of-contact for executive and senior leadership scheduling, this position is primarily responsible for implementing and managing centralized processes that improve and strengthen volunteer and donor relations advancement. Through this centralization of processes, the Manager Foundation Donor Advancement will ensure that donor prospects are qualified and donor engagement, expectations, and values are recognized and achieved to the Foundation’s standards, thereby resulting in optimal donor retention for the Foundation to achieve revenue goals. The Manager Foundation Donor Advancement will also support the Foundation CEO/Sr. VP on all matters related to the Board of Directors and will serve as lead contact for board members and committees, ensuring governance and best practices. This position frequently handles sensitive information and must maintain discretion and confidentiality in all relationships and business matters.
 
Annual Salary Range: $65,686.40 - $96,886.40
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Prefer a bachelor’s in human services or interdisciplinary studies
Experience:
  • Ten (10) or more years of experience supporting non-profit fundraising executives and senior leadership, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in donor relations and stewardship.
  • Prefer healthcare non-profit experience.

  • Knowledge of current best practices in philanthropy, ethics, volunteer management, research and cultivation practices, and fundraising techniques.
  • Experience with development operations functions, including prospect research, proposals, gift agreements, donor stewardship, and financial reporting.
  • Intermediate skill level with Blackbaud software products Raiser’s Edge, NXT, Altru, Microsoft Office, computer systems, and CRMs.
