Job Description
Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center
Department: Maintenance - Roosevelt
Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Varied
Under the general direction of the Director of Facilities, the Facility Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Facilities in the overall operation of the Facilities Department, including administrative and technical operations. This position will Perform and supervise preventative maintenance schedules. Assists in computing costs, scheduling and expediting operations and repairs, supervises and assists with emergency and major repair jobs, assures regulatory compliance, and inspects buildings and grounds. Assists in ordering equipment and supplies. Is responsible to detect, minimize, and control fire hazards. Responsible for performing fire drills as well as being a first responder. Assists in managing contracted services for the Facilities Department, including construction and capital projects. Assumes duties of building operations in the absence of the Director of Facilities.
Annual Salary Range: $83,116.00 - $122,595.00
Qualifications
Education:

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience is preferred, which will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.
Experience:
-
Must have a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible facilities supervisory/management experience, preferably in an industrial or hospital setting, demonstrating an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certification/Licensure:
-
Requires possession of and the ability to retain a valid AZ driver’s license in good standing. Always carry the legally required minimum insurance coverage on a personal vehicle.

Requires a Fingerprint Card.

Must have working knowledge of building systems codes, OSHA requirements, and safe working techniques and procedures.
