Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week

As a vital member of a highly specialized neonatal care team, the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) works under the guidance of an attending Neonatologist to deliver advanced, life-saving care to critically ill and premature newborns. With expertise in neonatal physiology and clinical decision-making, the NNP conducts thorough examinations, formulates diagnoses, and initiates complex treatment plans. From stabilizing fragile infants in the delivery room to managing ongoing intensive care in the NICU, this role is dedicated to improving outcomes and giving every newborn the best possible start in life.
 
Hourly Pay Rate: $46.75 - $68.96
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing.
Experience:
  • Experience as a Level III NNP is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice. Must also be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
  • Must have Arizona Certificate of Extended Nursing Practice.
  • Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center within 3 months.
  • NRP certification is required.
  • Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) issued dispensing license is required.
  • National NNP certification is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must have knowledge of prescribing and dispensing medications, neonatal resuscitation, intubation, lumbar puncture, and umbilical catheterization.
  • Must have the ability to work with culturally diverse people.
  • Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Computer knowledge with Windows based systems is a plus.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
