As a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, you will work with a diverse team of healthcare professionals caring for critically ill or injured patients who need your help to survive. As a Level One Trauma accredited facility, Valleywise Health’s OR RNs specialize in perioperative care for patients going into, receiving, and recovering from surgery. We work in a high-energy environment that requires a strong understanding of interpersonal and technical skills related to many surgical procedures. Helping save lives in the OR is one of the most rewarding aspects of nursing. Comforting someone going through a difficult time brings an enormous sense of satisfaction. Even the most challenging days can be tempered by a heartfelt thank you after a patient wakes up from a successful surgery.

Hourly Pay Rate: $32.84 - $48.44
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Prefer a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing.
Experience:
  • Previous acute care hospital experience in the department applying for is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
  • Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
  • Requires BLS issued by the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • CNOR certification is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
  • Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
