Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Director, you will deliver age-specific, hands-on care to patients across all life stages, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the entire healthcare team to ensure the best outcomes.
 
In this dynamic and essential role, you’ll provide direct patient care and assist with daily living activities, clinical procedures, and essential monitoring. You’ll also play a key role in tracking patient progress and reporting changes, ensuring our patients feel supported, comfortable, and heard.
 
What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver skilled, compassionate care to patients, assisting with vital signs, activities of daily living (ADLs), and clinical procedures
  • Provide essential patient support, helping with hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures
  • Observe and report changes in patient condition, communicating needs and updates directly to the supervising nurse or physician
  • Document all interactions and patient care activities in the patient’s medical record, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop a holistic care approach that meets the individual needs of each patient
  • Contribute to a positive, supportive environment, making every patient feel cared for, respected, and understood

Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00
 
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Education or equivalency
  • Maintain Current enrollment in an Arizona Board of Nursing approved or accredited RN or LPN nursing program recognized by U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing who has complete their first clinical rotation or equivalent for non-traditional programs. 
Specialized training
  • Must successfully complete an approved Valleywise Health computer classes. 
 
Certification/licensure
  • .Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
  • Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
  • Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
