Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week

Shifts: Nights

Advanced Clinical Nurse - Lead, Innovate, and Elevate Care

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver expert, age-specific nursing care in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, administer medications, and develop and implement individualized care plans.

  • Serve as a patient advocate and educator, empowering patients and families with knowledge and support.

  • Delegate and coordinate care according to Valleywise Health policies, while mentoring and guiding ancillary staff.

  • Complete accurate, timely documentation to support seamless care delivery.

  • Foster teamwork, lead quality improvement initiatives, and champion best practices across the unit.

  • Demonstrate leadership in professional practice, contributing to innovation, process improvement, and advancing the standards of care.

Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39
 
The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing.
Experience:
  • Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills and abilities, or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health then must have at least one (1) year of Valleywise Health experience as a RN and be in good standing.
  • Previous acute care hospital experience in the area he or she is applying for is preferred.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, a temporary AZ RN license, or a valid compact RN licensure for the current state of practice.
  • Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
  • Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
  • In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on the area of practice:
    • Burn Center ICU: Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. Must obtain PALS within six (6) months. Must obtain ABLS within one (1) year.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
  • Bilingual is preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.
  • Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer successfully.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
