Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center
Department: Nursing Float Pool
Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Nights
Join a dynamic healthcare team at Valleywise Health, where your expertise as an Advanced Clinical Nurse helps shape the future of patient care. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager or Executive DON, Ambulatory, you'll deliver skilled, age-specific nursing services in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. This vital role encompasses direct patient care-from assessment and medication administration to developing personalized care plans-while also mentoring support staff and contributing to team-building and quality improvement efforts.
Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39
Qualifications
Education:
-
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing.
Experience:
-
Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health, must have at least one year of Valleywise Health experience as an RN and be in good standing.
Certification/Licensure:
-
Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.

Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.

Requires a BLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.

In addition, certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice:

Nursing Float Pool: Must have ACLS upon hire or transfer. Additional certifications may be required to work in specialty areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.

Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Must have excellent communication, time management, and customer service skills.

Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g., formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.

Requires the ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English.
