Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center
Department: Nursing Float Pool
Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Nights
Valleywise Health is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our fast-paced team at our Phoenix location. As a Float Nurse, you will provide patient care in various acute care units within the hospital, addressing staffing needs and patient acuity. You will be assigned to different areas on a shift-by-shift basis, working with a variety of patient populations. We are looking for nurses that are versatile, adaptable, and must be proficient in multiple clinical areas.
Hourly Pay Rate: $35.52 - $52.39
The night shift pay differential will be paid at 18% of the employee's base rate of pay. The weekend shift pay differential will be paid at 8% of the employee's base rate of pay.
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires a bachelor’s or higher in Nursing.
Experience:
- Must have at least one (1) year of recent acute care hospital RN experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, or if completed the New Grad RN program at Valleywise Health, must have at least one year of Valleywise Health experience as an RN and be in good standing.
Certification/Licensure:
- Must possess a current, valid AZ RN license, temporary AZ RN license, or valid compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
- Must be in good standing with the issuing Board of Nursing.
- Requires a BLS and ACLS card obtained through an American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be able to meet the conditions as stated in the employment agreement.
- Must be able to float to at least two (2) departments within two (2) different service lines for which approved competencies must be demonstrated.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse people is a must.
- Must have excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
- Requires basic computer word processing skills (e.g. formatting, editing, printing, composing email, internet searches, etc.) to be able to successfully navigate through an electronic medical record using a computer.
- Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English. Bilingual is preferred.
