Job Description
Facility: Valleywise Health Medical Center
Department: Human Resources
Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Days

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and progressively responsible experience that will result in the required specialized knowledge and abilities to perform the assigned work.

A Master's degree is preferred.

Requires a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources, Business, or related experience that demonstrates a high level of understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Human Resources related certification is preferred.
-
Requires proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-
Must be comfortable with public speaking in various group sizes and have the ability to adjust to different communication styles and preferences as necessary.

Requires the ability to demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft Office products.

Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Maintains knowledge and skills to handle new complexities, challenges, and responsibilities and seeks exposure to new ideas and perspectives.

Ability to deliver programs and training to improve adaptability and continuous learning capabilities in an organization.

Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Advanced experience with conducting full cycle investigations, including summary reports and recommendations:

Creating witness lists
-
Drafting and organizing interview questions
-
The ability to ask follow-up/additional impromptu questions
-
Take notes while conducting investigations
-
Organize and file notes
-
Provide summary reports
-
Provide recommendations
-
The ability to respond to verbal and non-verbal ques
-
Experience assessing cases, providing case analysis, and advising leadership on appropriate levels of discipline and course of action.

Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws; ability to research and utilize resources for accuracy.

Experience coaching and advising management teams.
-
The ability to interpret and relay information in a clear and concise manner.

Experience consulting with stakeholders on strategic initiatives, providing feedback, and vetting feasibility and possible impacts.

Experience using discretion on when to escalate matters and where independent judgment is appropriate.
-
Experience completing, leading, managing, and organizing multiple activities simultaneously.
