Department: Internal Transport Services
Schedule: Regular FT 40 Hours Per Week
Shifts: Days
Reporting to the Nurse Manager, the Supervisor of Internal Transportation is responsible for overseeing and coordinating daily operations within the department. This role involves providing leadership, direction, and supervision to ensure the efficient and safe movement of patients, laboratory specimens, blood gases, and medical equipment.
Key responsibilities include managing shift activities, facilitating staff training, and implementing in-service programs to maintain compliance with safety protocols and best practices. The supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the internal transport team adheres to established procedures while delivering high-quality patient care and operational excellence.
Annual Salary Range: $48,006.40 - $70,803.20
Qualifications
Education:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Associate's degree or higher preferred.
Experience:
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years of hospital patient transporting experience that demonstrates an understanding of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Prefer prior direct or indirect supervisory experience in a hospital environment.
Specialized Training:
- Transport tracking system and related devices.

- Must have the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate personnel in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale.
- Must be approachable, people-oriented, and a good listener.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and have excellent customer service skills.

- Bilingual preferred.
