Department: Labor and Delivery - Roosevelt

Schedule: Regular FT 36 Hours Per Week

Shifts: Nights

Surgical Technologist - Precision, Teamwork, and Life-Saving Impact

Join our dynamic surgical team under the leadership of the Nurse Manager, where your expertise makes a direct impact in every procedure. As a key player in the operating room, you'll scrub in on a wide range of surgical cases, anticipate the needs of surgeons, and ensure every tool and piece of equipment is ready for action-from high-tech surgical drills to complex OR systems.

Your role is critical in maintaining a sterile, safe environment where patient safety comes first. You’ll be responsible for the care, handling, and operation of both simple and advanced surgical equipment. You’ll also monitor sterilizers and sterilization processes, ensuring everything meets the highest standards of infection control.

Experience in Labor and Delivery strongly preferred

 
Hourly Pay Rate: $24.00 - $35.40
 
Qualifications
Education:
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have graduated from a vocational program for Surgical Technicians or Technologist. 
  • Three (3) years of on-the-job training experience may be accepted in place of completion of a vocational program.
Experience:
  • Prefer three to five (3-5) years of experience with diverse surgical specialties.
Certification/Licensure:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
  • Requires BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center upon hire.  
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Requires the ability to read, write and speak effectively in English.
  • Requires specialized knowledge and skills in operating room practices.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills are utilized to enhance and encourage collaborative staff and community relationships.
  • Must be able to respond quickly and be familiar with operating procedures to have instruments ready for surgeons.
